Foundation Governor and Chair of Full Governing Body

All of my children attended St Mary's and I had served on the PTA for a number of years before becoming a Parent Governor. I was appointed as a Foundation Governor to St. Mary's Catholic Federation in 2016, initially Chair of Governors of the Junior School and elected as Chair of Governors of the Federation on its inception. I work with Public Sector bodies to find transport solutions, and a trained facilitator. I am a National Leader in Governance and work through the Diocese to help other Chairs and Governing Bodies to help ensure the furtherance of Catholic Education

I have been a governor at the school for over 11 years, firstly as a Junior school parent governor and currently as Vice Chair of the governing body and have been for over 3 years. I am a Managing Director of an electrical contracting company and use my experience in management to support the governing body and the school SLT.

I have been on the governing body for many years and originally helped set up the Finance Committee. I took over as Chair of the Finance Committee over 3 years ago which is now The Resources Committee. In my business life I have run my own outside catering company for over 25 years and prior to that I worked in retail management for Marks and Spencer
